Join us on Sunday, February 9 for live teaching from Dr. Voddie Baucham! Voddie will be sharing a message called “Raising a Christian Family in a Secular World – Overcoming School, Social Media, Culture and Religion” live at The Story Church at the 9:45 & 11:05am worship services.
This service will also be live streamed on The Story’s platforms. We will NOT have an 8:30am worship service on this date.
Dr. Baucham grew up in South Central Los Angeles with a teenage single Buddhist mother. He never heard the gospel growing up. When came to Rice University to play football, he was introduced to the Lord by a coach and the path of his life changed. He graduated from Houston Baptist University and went on to obtain a M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a D.Min. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He did additional post-graduate study at the University of Oxford.
Dr. Baucham served as pastor of Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas until 2015 when he became Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia. He moved back to the United States earlier this month to serve on the faculty of the new Founders Seminary in Coral Gables, Florida.
