Supervising current strategy, and/or implementing new effective strategies for “entryway” ministries for new attendees, and for those hoping to become members of The Story Houston
Supervising leadership recruitment systems and development strategies for all Discipleship ministries
Planning and execution of regular leadership events for all Discipleship Teams
Innovating Discipleship ministries by executing regular surveys and evaluations of current programming
Ensuring Discipleship Ministries meet the needs of a growing congregation that will soon become a multisite church
Planning and executing Summer and Winter church-wide Bible studies with guest speakers and/or pastoral body
Leading and Executing life stage programming effectively
Curriculum & Resources:
Working with TSH Curriculum Coordinator to maintain an effective library of resources for small group leaders and participants
Supervise curriculum development written by TSH Curriculum Coordinator
Work with TSH Communications Manager, to effectively promote Discipleship ministry initiatives
Keeping statistics that clearly reflect the expansion of discipleship ministries through church database

The candidate is a goal-oriented self-starter who understands that the goals of Christian leadership are 1) to serve and not to be served, 2) to empower others to do the work of God’s kingdom, and 3) to become a leader who raises up leaders who raise up leaders.
Bachelor’s or Seminary Degree
Thorough knowledge of the Bible
Passionate and effective Bible teacher
Organized and effective at establishing and coordinating systems
