The Story’s Office Administration is fully committed to Jesus and intensely motivated to inspire non-religious Houstonians to follow Jesus. This individual is a goal-oriented self-starter who understands that the goals of Christian leadership are 1) to serve and not to be served, 2) to empower others to do the work of God’s kingdom, and 3) to become a leader who raises up leaders who raise up leaders.
Duties for this position include: Office administration:
Ensuring the main church office is open to the public 4 days a week
Occasional Sunday availability
Retrieving and responding to voicemail messages.
Managing facility calendar and requests
Ensuring office supplies are available for all staff
Managing wedding requests
Database, scheduling, and other office tasks:
Managing membership records through church database
Monitoring “general” inboxes
Managing Executive Pastor and Lead Pastor’s scheduling
Master scheduling for staff gatherings
Arranging guest speaker travel and payment of honorariums
Assisting with general recruitment duties
Managing church-wide calendar.
Mailers & Additional Support:
Working with communications and stewardship to complete key mailers throughout the year.
Assists with planning and execution of special events.
Planning group travel events such as mission trips and Holy Land trip (these events happen every two years or more).
Assists with purchasing and setting up tax exempt accounts with vendors
Manages office invoices and purchases
Qualifications: Bachelor degree required
This position is full-time, compensation based on experience.
