Join The Story Church in the DR with our partner organization GO Ministries! For the past nine years, we’ve sent teams from our church community to serve with their ministries and in 2026, we’re excited to send our families to experience discipleship in action!
FAMILY TRIP: Tuesday, June 9-16, 2026
24 spots available. This trip is open to family groups and middle school students. Ages 14 and older are allowed to attend on their own. Ages 8-13 and under requires parent attendance. Staff from The Story will also be present on this trip as chaperones.
WHAT WILL WE DO?: We will serve alongside the pastors GO Ministries trains and support through their church planting network. We serve as an extension of the pastors working on local projects that serve the needs of the church community or as opportunities to witness to neighbors. Projects could be a wide range of tasks like painting, clearing fields, laying down concrete, and more. At the end of the week we go back to these same communities where we have been building relationships and host a VBS or sports camp for the kids. We end our trip by enjoying one of the Dominican’s natural wonders – the beach!

LODGING: All lodging will be dorm rooms, very similar to your typical American summer camp. We will have a male bunk room and a female bunk room with community bathrooms. Not all lodging is temperature controlled, but all have running water and bathrooms. All of our meals are prepared by local cooks in your dorm kitchen and we can accommodate most diets and allergies. Team members can expect a variety of traditional Dominican fare, including chicken, beans, rice, and fresh fruit.
COST: $2,400 per person (ages 12+) or $1,700 per minor (ages 8-11)
Total cost includes all related trip costs, including flights to and from the DR, ground transportation, lodging, work materials and meals. You will be responsible for any other purchases, such as souvenirs or snacks at grocery stores we visit.
Deposit is due by December 1, 2025 to secure your spot. Final payment is due by March 1, 2026. You will have the option below to pay in full as well for each person in your family.
