Modern Psalm Presents: Music from the Mount
Live at The Story Church
Sunday, November 15 at 6 p.m.
Found in the early chapters of the Gospel of Matthew, the Sermon on the Mount is arguably Jesus’ most well-known teaching, filled with rich truths of who we are, who God is, and how Christians are called to live in the world. As we prepare for a new season of Sunday messages that cover these profound chapters, you’re invited to come and experience original music written by Story Worship Director David Stükenberg and Brian Batch of Round Rock Methodist along with other musical guests. Music from the Mount will be an hour-long event, debuting songs written directly from Matthew’s documentation of the Sermon on the Mount followed by a time of worship, with other songs from the Modern Psalm Canon. Guests will also witness a first-look at footage filmed in The Story Church’s Sanctuary in March of 2025 of Modern Psalms “The Man in White” – The Easter story narrated by country music legend Johnny Cash with musical accompaniment composed by the Modern Psalm family.
All ages are welcome to attend. Nursery care will not be available for this event. Free tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis; capacity is limited to the maximum seating available in the sanctuary.

Modern Psalm exists to shape worship that is both theologically rich and intentionally generous. We believe the songs the Church sings should be deeply rooted in biblical truth — because what we sing shapes and reinforces what we believe. But worship doesn’t stop with words; it should also lead to action. That’s why Modern Psalm creates music that not only proclaims the gospel and foundations of faith, but also fuels real-world impact, as songwriters commit their royalties to causes that matter. Worship is more than song — it’s mission. Learn more about Modern Psalm and how you can be part of this movement at modernpsalm.com
