In early 2015, after dozens of volunteers worked tirelessly to build a temporary stage, equip a mobile coffee station, and set up a makeshift A/V system, a few hundred neighbors, guests, and well-wishers gathered in a gymnasium to experience the first-ever worship service of a brand new church.
Then, two pastors, a husband and wife team, stood up and said, “Welcome to The Story! Our church’s mission is to inspire nonreligious Houstonians to follow Jesus...”
And so it began. Over the past six years, The Story has inspired thousands of people, and we know that God is just getting started with this community.
