The Power of Dad
July 2, 2017 / Eric Huffman
Good fathers who are present, patient, slow to anger, and kind with their children have the power to propel their kids upward. Children who grow up with loving, steady dads are more likely to establish healthy relationships and achieve their goals in adulthood. On the other hand, when dads are absent, abusive, or distant, they can wreak havoc - deep, seemingly irreversible damage - on their kids’ lives.
With this four-part series, we’ll take a closer look at the science of fatherhood through the lens of one of Jesus’ most popular stories: the Parable of the Prodigal Son. In this story, Jesus not only reveals the character of good fathers, but he also shows us how God is the perfect Father to us all.
