Service Teams

Not everyone is called to be a missionary overseas; your mission might be to serve God a little closer to home. Everyone has a part to play in the story God is telling. Please click here to sign up for a team!

Hospitality Team

Sundays

Hospitality volunteers make every Sunday morning possible. They do everything from assembling bulletins and welcoming first time guests with a free Bible and a mug, to setting up Communion stations and recruiting volunteers to help take the offering during worship.

You can take on a leader role, or just show up on Sunday morning and donate a few minutes of your time. There is a place for everyone here!

Worship Team

Sundays

If you’re musically gifted, we hope you’ll consider joining this team! Members of this team make worship possible at The Story through their musical gifts, by playing an instrument or singing.  For more information, please check the link below, or contact our worship coordinator, Jaime Titus.

The Story Coffee Bar

Sundays

Finally, a church group for coffee enthusiasts! A 2nd Cup is a nonprofit devoted to raising awareness about and fighting human trafficking in Houston. On Sundays, we sell iced coffee and lattes as well as hot-brewed, fair-trade coffee with the proceeds going directly to support trafficking victims. Don’t worry about your level of experience or lack-thereof, we will provide all of the training necessary to participate and succeed!

Storytellers: Production Team

Sundays

Lights, camera, action! The Storytellers are committed to enhancing the Sunday worship experience through lighting, projection, graphics and video. Each week, our director and camera crew capture the sermon on video to allow The Story’s message to spread beyond our four walls.

No previous skill or knowledge required; we will equip you with all the training you need! Come learn a new skill, tell powerful stories, and make new friends in the process.

Healing Hands Hospital Outreach

Healing Hands Hospital Outreach is a new team reaching out to families in Houston area hospitals. We are currently partnered with the NICU at Texas Children’s Hospital and Texas Women’s Hospital, but continuously looking to expand.

Our goal is to share the love of Christ with those in need through compassion and service.

Children's Church

Sundays

Children’s Church is a key initiative at The Story, and you have a chance to help it grow! Children’s Church meets during the worship hour, and the kids (K-3rd Grade) enjoy an age-appropriate worship experience of their own, including music, Bible-based drama, arts and crafts, and a simple message.  Check out this video for more info. Note: Because our priority is child safety, we ask all volunteers to go through extensive training, including a background check before serving.
