The Story Church is on a mission to inspire non-religious people to follow Jesus. How? By liberating Jesus from the limitations of religion. Religion is about good behavior and living in fear. Jesus came to give us a better way.

We believe Jesus, and we believe in Jesus.

We believe Jesus is who he said he was, more than just a great teacher or prophet, but God incarnate. (John 8:56, Mark 2:28, John 10:33) And we believe that changes everything.

Because we believe Jesus, we also believe in Him. If God cared enough about us to become a person - to live and die for us - then we can place all our trust in Him.

  • God is love, and God desires loving relationships with us. (1 John 4:8)
  • By believing Jesus and putting our trust in Him, we open our hearts up to God's Spirit, who helps us break old habits and heals our wounds. (John 14:26)
  • In Jesus, God revealed His love for all creation in dramatic fashion: His humiliating death on the cross. By absorbing punishments that He did not deserve, Jesus symbolically bore the weight of all human sin, so we might all be free. (1 Peter 2:24)
  • The Bible is trustworthy and true, and it tells the perfect story of God's redeeming love for all of us. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
  • Because love requires the freedom to choose or reject it, God insists upon giving us the freedom to choose Him, or not to. (Revelation 3:20)
  • Christians are called to love everyone and judge no one. (John 13:34)
  • When we choose to love God and build our identity around His, we begin to see our lives' intended purpose and destiny. (Matthew 6:33)
  • Church is not a building, institution, or a religion. It is a vehicle designed to carry the love of Christ into the world. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
